Although I usually focus on the Shenandoah Valley on my Squirrel Ridge blog, I posted many pictures in March of our trip to California. We stayed in the Los Angeles – Palos Verdes area so hop over and take a photo tour!
Last week I was watching for red things to photograph. The fake carnations did not make it into my Squirrel Ridge blog because I was feeling overwhelmed. My beloved Macbook was in the shop and I was struggling with formatting pictures on the iPad.
I have a shortcut to my daily blog: VirginiaVista.com. Come over and see what’s new!
A photography friend issued a challenge to post floral images so I dug these out of my files, or more accurately, took them off old posts on my Squirrel Ridge blog.
Check out my Squirrel Ridge posts for October to see plenty of pumpkins and some Civil War anniversary events.
Our guests are gone and the house has returned to normal but it suddenly seems rather dull. Two of Frank’s daughters stayed with us with their families, his other daughter and her husband came to dinner several times, and his ex drove up from South Carolina and shared several meals with us. She does not get to see her Washington-state grandchildren very often so this was important to her.
More pictures of the good times are on my Squirrel Ridge blog. This photo was taken at Shenandoah River State Park, Bentonville, Virginia.
